Softball tournament begins Friday

CHICKASHA —  

Regular season might be over, the Drovers still have to face some of the nation’s best in the Sooner Athletic Conference tournament, set to begin Friday.

USAO, who enter sixth seed for the second year in a row, will play third-seeded Southern Nazarene in the first round. The Crimson Storm, who swept the Drovers in the regular season at home, are ranked 15th nationally.

The tournament is a double-elimination. Depending on the outcome of the 11 a.m. games, they will play at 3 p.m. against either (5) Lubbock Christian or Rogers State.

A win in one of the first two games will find the Drovers playing a third game on Friday at 7:30 p.m. The conference championship will be at 7:30 p.m. Saturday.

All games will take place at ASA Hall of Fame Stadium in Oklahoma City.
