Chickasha tennis teams show improvement at home

CHICKASHA — The Chickasha High School tennis team had a duel against El Reno at the USAO tennis courts on Monday, and the Chicks are continuing to show improvement this season.

The girls 1 Doubles team of Lupita Maldonado and Elizabeth Wilson beat Bosler and Powel from El Reno, 7-5, 6-0.

The girls 2 Doubles team of Lizeth Medina and Chloe Reyes beat Jensen and Elliott 6-1 and 6-1.

Both boys singles players won Monday, with 1 Singles player Noel Avila beating Jon Grube 6-0 and 6-1 and 2 Singles player Lonnie Hillbolt beating Nathan Benge 6-2 and 6-3.

Other results: Melody Outhaithavy lost to Kaylea Shropshire 1-6 and 4-6 in 1 Singles. Melanie Sales lost to Haylee Garner 1-6 and 4-6 in 2 Singles.

The boys 1 Doubles team of Tanner Charlson and Jonathan Ho lost to Cooper and Madais 6-7, 6-4 and 8-10.

The Chicks will compete in Duncan this Friday.
