An explosive offensive attack led the Minco Bulldogs to a road victory on Monday against the Central High Bronchos.

Five Bulldog players reached double figures by the end of the third quarter en route to an 81-53 victory over the Bronchos.

The Bulldogs used their ability to do damage from behind the arc to score 25 points in the first quarter. Minco hit five 3-pointers in the first eight minutes.

They finished with nine treys in the game, all coming in the first half.

Two of those five treys came from Dane Brummell, who scored eight of his 17 points in the first quarter.

Despite the hot shooting, Central hung around in the first quarter with three makes from range. Matt Harris helped keep the Bronchos in the game with eight of his 10 points coming in the first.

Minco finished the first quarter strong and led 25-17 heading to the second.

The Bulldogs would pull away in the second, opening the period by scoring 18 of the next 19 points to go up by 25.

Cade Shirley had a big second quarter as one of the other Bulldog players to reach double figures. Shirley scored 10 points in the period and finished the game with 17 points, along with Brummell.

Brummell continued his offensive explosion with two more 3-point baskets, giving him four in the game. He added eight more points in the second for the Bulldogs.

After leading by just eight after the first, Minco led by 26 at halftime.

The Bulldogs continued to extend their lead in the third before getting to go deep down their bench.

Josh Ward, Nick Burchfield and Max Morrison all joined Shirley and Brummell with at least 10 points.
