Kirk Maynard came out on top of the 82nd annual Washita Valley Golf Tournament on Sunday after a rain-soaked holiday weekend at the Cottonwood Creek golf course.
Maynard, a Midwest City native, shot a 1-over 72 in the final round to defeat Michael Gatz of Union City by two strokes.
Maynard finished the tournament with 2-under with a score of 211.
Gatz double-bogeyed the final hole, finishing a close second with a final-round 73 and scored 213 for the tournament, coming just short of the man he tied for second with last year.
Matt Charlson of Chickasha and Greg McMillan of Oklahoma City both finished scores of 215.
McMillan made a late charge, shooting a 5-under 66 in the final round, but Charlson won the tiebreaker.
Chad Randle, Chickasha, rounded out the top five, finishing with a score of 217 after a final-round 71.
Tyler Yarbrough finished sixth with a 221, and Kyle Richardson finished seventh with a 223 to round out the Championship Flight.
