The Chickasha High School wrestling team recently competed at the Blanchard Invitational with several coming away with winning records. Youth wrestlers also saw success.
Hobie Stephens was the top finisher for the Chicks in Blanchard. Stephens went 5-2 overall and finished fifth at the tournament.
Cash Muncrief recorded six wins in 10 matches. Colby Resendez also won six matches for Chickasha while losing three.
Donaven Laney went 6-4, and Brayden Dunkin went 3-2 overall.
According to wrestling coach Chad Randle, several wrestlers competed at a tournament in Choctaw.
Cru Foster, Ash Foster, Noah Knight, Ritson Meyer, Caden McElroy and Kyle Griffin all finished first.
Bryce Dougherty, Eddie Wauhadooah and Zander Bowen finished second.
Kason Meyer and Tuff Burney finished third, while three wrestlers finished fourth for the Chicks.
Devin Dorsey and Byron Blakes finished fourth, and Noah Knight added a fourth-place finish with his first-place finish.
Also, according to Randle, Chickasha had four wrestlers selected to teams to compete in Virginia. Dylan Bratt, Brayden Dougherty, Braden Brown and Jaxon Randle were the four wrestlers selected.
