Oklahoma football signing day update

NORMAN, Okla. — The fax machines at the Switzer Center can take a much needed break. As of 11:30 a.m., Oklahoma received 23 national letters of intent. All of them are already enrolled or were on the Sooners’ list of verbal committments entering the day.

The Sooners are still waiting on Fresno (Calif.) Central East defensive back to pick between OU and Oregon State. He is expected to announce his decision at 5 p.m. OU coach Bob Stoops is scheduled to meet with the media at 3 p.m.

Here’s the up-to-the-minute list:

The Cowboy’s men’s basketball team fell on Saturday afternoon to Kansas State 74-71. The OSU women’s basketball team also fell Saturday night at Gallagher-Iba Arena 71-67 to West Virginia.

    There was a large stretch Saturday night where Oklahoma couldn’t get shots to fall and couldn’t get any stops against Texas. But that was in the middle. The beginning and the end was enough for the Sooners to get an 88-85 victory over the Longhorns at the Erwin Center.
