Gladstone Wallace

— Gladstone Wallace was born on October 10, 1936 near Lane, OK to Dewitt (Dee) and Zula Wallace. In 1940, the family relocated to Gracemont, OK. Then in 1945 his family moved to Alex, OK where he resided until he completed high school. He married Wynema Spoon in 1957 and they made their first home in Wichita, Kansas where Gladstone worked for Boeing Aircraft Company. During that time he also served in the Oklahoma Air National Guard for 6 years as a reservist. Having accepted a job at Tinker Air Force Base, they moved to Midwest City, OK in 1961. He worked in the sheet metal section as an aircraft mechanic. Poor health forced “Wally” to retire in 2007 with forty-six years of service. He was preceded in death by his father, mother, step-father, grandparents, three sisters, three step-sisters, one brother, and two step-brothers. He is survived by his wife of fifty-five years, Wynema; two sons, Craig and Kris and wife Amor; six grandchildren; one great granddaughter; two sisters; and one step-sister. Services will be held on Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at 1:00 pm in the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at 3:00 pm in the Fairlawn Cemetery in Chickasha, OK.
