— Billie Jean Turpin

Funeral service for Billie Jean Turpin, 49, of Marlow, Oklahoma, will be 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013, at the Fletcher Funeral Home Chapel.  Visitation will be held Thursday from 1-8 p.m. and Friday from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.  Arrangements are being handled by the Fletcher Funeral Home.

Mrs. Turpin passed away on Saturday, Nov. 2, 2013, at her home in Marlow.  She was 49 years old.

Billie Jean (Cole) Turpin was born Aug. 13, 1964 in Chickasha, Oklahoma to Billy and Orva Jean (Jackson) Cole.  She married Danny Turpin on July 9, 1982.  Billie was a wonderful caring mother to her two boys.  Along with her husband Danny, she spent 27 years caring for her son Cole.  Many of those days and nights were spent at the hospitals praying for Cole to get better so he could go home with them again.  A big part of her heart died with Cole.  Billie had a large extended “adopted” family.  She loved everybody and always seemed to have a house full of “grandkids”.  Nobody ever left Billie’s house hungry.  She made the best potato soup.  She was teaching her grandson Draven to care for house plants.  She loved spending time with him.  Billie had worked hard along side Danny remodeling homes.  They loved camping and fishing with the boys and going to the casino occasionally.  Everyone loved Billie and will miss her forever.

She is survived by her husband, Danny Turpin; 1 son, Eric Turpin and his wife Destani; 1 grandson, Draven; her mother, Orva Jean Littrell; and 1 sister, Tina Cole Miller.

She was preceded in death by her son, Cole Turpin; her father, Billy Frances Cole; 1 nephew, Joel Tehauno; her mother and father in law: Dolores and Walter Turpin; her grandparents: Johnny and Lorene Turpin and Katherine and J.C. Mitchell.
