Quanah Rae Wade

— Memorial service for Quanah Rae Wade, age 48, will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 20, 2013, in the Southern Oaks Church of Christ.

Quanah Rae Wade was born the daughter of Charles Alfred Wade and Gail Willhoit Wade on July 30, 1964 in Albuquerque, NM. She died on July 10, 2013 in Chickasha.

Quanah moved to Chickasha in 1981 and graduated from Amber High School in 1982. She attended Radio Broadcasting School in Oklahoma City and was a DJ in Oklahoma City and Chickasha. Quanah attended USAO for two years. She later went to truck driving school and drove a truck for the last 15 years.

She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Wade.

Survivors include her daughter, Nicole Nichols; granddaughter, Keyanna Dawn Nichols; mother, Gail Wade Jodzko and her husband Al; sister, Sabra Martin and her husband Jimmy; niece, Jackie Drewry; great aunt, Helen Habluetzel; sister, Marilyn Feaver and her husband, John; brother, Ollie Rainey; brother; Larry Rainey and his wife, Cleta; numerous nieces and nephews; and her loyal companion Thor, a 100 pound lab that remained by her side to the end.

Cremation arrangements are under the direction of McRay Funeral Home.
