CHICKASHA — Rush Springs: Mark Alan Long, 43, passed away Monday, July 22, 2013 in Duncan.

Services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, July 26, 2013, at the Southern Baptist Church, with Rev. Richard McCormack officiating. Burial will be in the Westview Cemetery under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Chapel in Rush Springs.

Mark was born Friday, Oct. 10, 1969 in Oklahoma City, to William LeRoy and Darlene (Braley) Long. Mark lived in Rush Springs and the Grady County area all of his life and graduated from Rush Springs High School in 1987. On Oct. 9, 1999, he married Susan Sweat in Chickasha. Mark worked in the oilfield as a roughneck and driller for several years. Mark enjoyed spending outdoors. He loved to hunt, ride horses with his family and friends and loved fishing with his Uncle Alan. Mark loved his whole family intensely and the pride of his life was his daughters, Angel and LeAnn.

Survivors include wife, Susan Sweat of the home; daughters, Angel Long and Leann Guinn, both of Rush Springs; two grandchildren, Rebecca and Tommy; mother, Darlene Long of Rush Springs; brothers, Brian Long and wife Stephanie of Norman, Shannon Long and wife Regina of Rush Springs; grandmother, Ginny Braley of Milwaukee, WI; grandfather, Ray Ferguson of Chickasha; nieces and nephews and cousins, Rickie, Sydney, Abbie, Zack; uncle, Alan Ferguson.

Mark was preceded in death by his father, William LeRoy Long.

Pallbearers will be Kent Griffith, Glen Crawford, Jeff Jordan, Robert Laughlin, Cody Bentley and Randy England. Honorary pallbearers will be Lee Dorman, Rick Moore, Kyle McGanty.
