— James Lynn Moore

Graveside memorial service for James Lynn Moore, age 69 of Chickasha, will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 10, 2014 in Rose Hill Cemetery.

James "Jimmy" Moore was born the son of George A. Moore and Alma V. Lohner Moore on June 14, 1944, at Altus Army Airfield while his father served with the United States Army Air Forces. He died on April 23, 2014 in Chickasha.

He moved with his family back to the Chickasha area after his father was discharged from the service. Alongside his father, he was active in both Civil Defense and Boy Scout Explorer Troop 305. He worked for many years as a television repairman at Modern Appliance in Chickasha. James served many years with the Oklahoma Army National Guard’s C Battery, 1st Battalion, 158 Field Artillery until retiring in 1990. More recently he worked at Chief Fire and Safety in Chickasha. He touched many lives in his own unique way; he’ll be missed by all.

He was preceded in death by his father, George Moore.

Survivors include his mother, Alma Moore; son and wife, Brock and Lori Moore; granddaughter, Kinsey Moore; sister, Patricia Saunders; sister and husband, Bonnie and Dick Bachman; niece and husband, Rebecca and Johnny Wallace; nephew and wife, Scott and Amanda Bachman.
