Graveside service for Murline Ella Mayo, age 99, of Chickasha will be held Thursday, Dec. 19, 2013 at 1 p.m. at the Fairlawn Cemetery in Chickasha.

Murline Ella Mayo was born the daughter of Edward L. Wood and Lou Ella Clark Wood on June 16, 1914, in Middleburg. She died on Dec. 16, 2013, in Lawton.

The family moved to the farm at Lake Burtschi, where she grew up. She married G. Ray Mayo on April 16, 1938, in Lawton where they lived for a short time before moving back to the Chickasha and Pioneer area. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church. She loved to quilt and cook and loved being with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, G. Ray Mayo; parents, Edward and Lou Ella Wood; brother, Mindell H. Wood; sisters, Mary Frances Thomas, Mildred Johnston and Alpha Thorsen.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Glen and Betty Mayo of Kingfisher; daughter and son-in-law Mary Lou and Tom Crimmins of Elgin; grandchildren and spouses Dana Merveldt of El Reno, Christopher and Melissa Crimmins of Duncan,  and Craig and Natalie Crimmins of Norman; and great-grandchildren Tyler, Luke, Nathan and Mary Ella Crimmins of Norman,  Charles and Abby Rutledge of Norman, and Maddie and Cole Crimmins of Duncan.

There will be no viewing. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice. Service is under the direction of McRay Funeral Home.
