Funeral Services for Elton E. Pollard, 63, of Hobart will be at Hobart Church of Christ, Hobart at 2 p.m., Wednesday, March 28, 2013. Burial will be at the Hobart Rose Cemetery, Hobart, under the direction of People’s Cooperative Funeral Home, Lone Wolf. Memorial contributions may be made to the Church of Christ, 202 S. Elton E. Pollard was born in Lone Wolf,  on January 19, 1920 to Harvey Q. and Ida Mae (Woods) Pollard and passed away, Sunday, March 24, 2013 at Elkview Hospital, Hobart, at the age of 93 years, 2 months and 5 days.

He attended Sentinel High School and Southwestern Oklahoma State College. He was in the U.S. Army 7th Air Force, 819th Bomb Squadron, 11th Bomb Group, 7th Air Force for nearly four years from 1941-1945.  He served in the Asiatic Central Pacific, several islands and Guam and was discharged as a Master Sargent. He was united in marriage to Alta Resneder, March 23, 1946 in Hobart. Elton worked as an agent for Rock Island Railroad, for 30 years before retiring. He was an agent in Chickasha, Minco and Hobart. Hobbies included mechanic, gardening, fishing, supporting his grandchildren activities and sports. Elton was a member of the Church of Christ in Hobart and also a member of the VFW.

 He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Geneva Pollard, and one grandchild.

Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Alta Pollard, Hobart;  four daughters, Pamila McReynolds and her husband, Wayne, Dallas, TX, Barbara McVey and her husband, Max, Ozark, AR, Claudia Witten, Lewisville, TX, Debra Reed and her husband, Delbert, Duncan, OK, 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
