Funeral services for Nell Marietta Howery, of Chickasha, will be 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2013 at the First Assembly of God Church of Chickasha.

Nell Marietta Howery was born Aug. 23, 1915 in Verden, to Lindsey and Elizabeth (Moody) Smith.  She passed away on Sunday, Dec. 8, 2013 in Chickasha, at the age of 98.

Mrs. Howery married Everett Howery on Nov. 2, 1935 in Chickasha.  She had worked for George and Son Studio and worked at Pet Milk where she retired in 1985.  She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church where she played the organ for over 40 years and was secretary in the Sunday School office.

Her family and her church were her life.

Mrs. Howery is preceded in death by her husband, Everett in 1985; her parents; a grandson, Mark Howery; a great grandson, Brandon Stamp; five brothers and four sisters.

She is survived by her son, Harold Howery and his wife, Gloria; two daughters, Beverly Gabel and her husband, Larry and Carolyn Foster; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren

Interment will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
