James Edward Hamberlin, beloved husband, father, son, brother, and friend, of Katy, Texas, passed peacefully, surrounded by loved ones on April 20, 2012.

James was born Dec. 15, 1969 in Oklahoma City to James and Frances Hamberlin. A 1989 graduate of Chickasha High School, James proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1991-1995. While enlisted, the talented runner was selected to the All-Marine Track & Field Team. After serving in the Corps, James joined Vance Security Co. in Detroit, Mich., where he met the love of his life, Kimberly Brewer. James and Kim eventually settled in Katy, Texas, where Kim began a career with Shell Oil Co. while James devoted himself to a labor of love helping to raise their two daughters, Angelina and McKenna.

James was a gifted athlete who excelled at any sport. He also enjoyed watching sports, especially his beloved Oklahoma Sooners. James was a friend to many, but above all, a man whose passion was his family.

James is survived by his loving wife Kim; daughters, Angelina and McKenna; mother, Frances Hamberlin of Edmond; sister, Donna Jean Hamberlin Bogle of Norman; brother, Billy Jack Hamberlin of Weatherford; as well as numerous other extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, James L. Hamberlin.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. CST on Monday, April 23, 2012 at the Schmidt Funeral Home Chapel, 1508 East Avenue, Katy Texas 77493, (281) 391-2424.

The Celebration Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at the First Baptist Church of Katy, 600 Pin Oak, Katy Texas 77494, (281) 391-1100.

James asked that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to his daughter’s college fund at: College Invest Direct Portfolio; College Savings Plan (FBO Angelina & McKenna Hamberlin); PO Box 55355; Boston, MA 02205-5355.

    A come and go ‘Celebration of Life’ will be held for Jacqueline Ann Bohannon, 77, of Duncan, Oklahoma on Saturday, May 3rd at the Southern Oaks Church of Christ in Chickasha from 2:00 – 4:00 pm.  Jackie was born June 18, 1936 in Allen, Oklahoma to the parents of Harold and Bea Hammonds.  She passed from this life to be with her Lord on April 10, 2014 after a prolonged illness.

    Clifford Franklin Williams, 98, of Minco was born November 6, 1915 at Minco, Oklahoma to Claude Custer and Viola Pearl (Pettis) Williams. He died Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at his home in Minco, Oklahoma.
        Services will be held on Friday, April 18, 2014, 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Minco. Reverend Bob Waitman and Reverend Bob Hines officiating. Burial, Evergreen Cemetery of Minco, Oklahoma under the direction of Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home in Minco.

    Funeral for Reva Mae Burlison,88, of Chickasha, Oklahoma, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 22, 2014, in the Southern Oaks Church of Christ. Andy Lashley will officiate and Brian Johnson will assist.
    Reva Mae Royal was the 7th of 9 children, born to Walter Scott Royal Sr. and Nellie Speer Royal. She was born in rural Harmon County, near Hollis, Oklahoma on September 23, 1925. She passed away on April 16, 2014, in Chickasha.
