Funeral Services for Wilma Leon Franks, 75, of Chickasha will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 6, 2013, in the Laverty Baptist Church with Randall Hill officiating.

Wilma Franks was born in Mountain Home, Arkansas on October 1, 1938. She was the daughter of Earnest “Buck” and Margie Priscilla (Haley) Mooney. She passed way in OKC on November 3, 2013 from complications due to lung cancer.

Wilma moved to the Rush Springs area and went to school in the Grady County vicinity. As a young woman she enjoyed horseback riding and in recent years enjoyed playing dominos and spending time with lifelong friends and family. She loved to watch and attend her grandchildren’s various sports events.

She was employed over the years with American Optical, Wal-Mart, and as a demonstration marketing representative. Wilma most recently attended Grand Assembly Church.

Wilma will be greatly missed and loved by her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by both parents, a sister Patricia Brown, and a great-grandchild Benjamin Kyle Fischer.

Survivors include her husband of the home, Hershel Franks; her children and their spouses, Cindy Franks, Debra and Phillip Hood, Jerry and Gwen Smith, Connie and Chesley Turner, and Darla and Donnie Brandt; and her 13 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

Donation fund in lieu of flowers is set up at First National Bank under Wilma Franks name.

Interment will be in the Laverty Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
