Virgil Vernon Koehn

— Virgil Vernon Koehn was born Dec. 23, 1920 to Dan C. and Lydia Schmidt Koehn west of Chickasha, Oklahoma.  He passed on to his eternal reward on Sept. 12, 2013 at Moundridge Manor, Moundridge, Kansas reaching the age of 92 years.  Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, Sept. 16, 2013 at the Plainview Mennonite Church, Chickasha.  Visitation will be held Sunday,

Sept. 15, 2013 from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Plainview Mennonite Church.

On March 17, 1946 he was united in marriage to Dorothy Jantz, sharing life together for 67 years.

For employment he worked at several implement dealers and later years at Bob Lowe Machinery and Jackson Horse Trailer.

He was a member of Plainview Mennonite Church, Chickasha, Oklahoma.

In July 2010 he moved to Moundridge Manor, Moundridge, Kansas.

Survived by his wife Dorothy Koehn of Moundridge, Kansas, son Wesley and wife Alice Koehn of Colcord, OK., daughter Charlotte and husband James Nightingale and son Carl and wife Dolores Koehn of Chickasha, OK 7 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, one sister Rebecca Nightingale of Halstead, Kansas, 2 nieces and 1 nephew.

Preceding in death are his parents, one sister-in-law, one brother-in-law and one nephew.

Interment will be at Plainview Mennonite  Cemetery, Chickasha, under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
