Helen Maxine Coker

— Funeral services will be held on Thursday April 4, 2013 at 1:30 p.m. in the Grand Assembly of God Church in Chickasha,  for Helen Maxine Coker, age 86. She passed away in her home in Broussard, Louisiana on March 30, 2013.

Maxine was born in Lookeba, on May 25, 1926. She grew up in Lookeba and graduated from Lookeba High School. She wore many hats during her life; wife, Mother, Mee-Maw, bookkeeper, wonderful cook, honored friend and she loved to have fun. She touched many people through her life. Her love of flowers, birds, and a fruitful garden were her passion. Her faith was always a priority to her and she made sure we all knew that Christ was our answer to a life of honor.

In December 1949, she married Marvin Coker and later they were blessed with three children. Cherishing her memory are Jenelle Gray and her husband Gary of Broussard, Louisiana, Larry Coker and Sandy of Broussard, Louisiana and Steve Coker and wife Tracie of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Maxine has eight grandchildren: Terry Gray and wife Laura, Teresa Gaccetta and husband Joe, Ashley Keene and husband Michael, Derek and Brandon Brooks, Brent Coker, Jonathan Coker, and Sandra Billings.  Her Great Grandchildren are Amelia, Andrew, and Adam Gaccetta, and Carys and Brody Gray.

Her parents and brother Johnny Zenger preceded her in death. Survivors also include Marvin Coker her husband of 63 years, one sister Mae Ingram, one brother Jimmy Zenger and wife Velma and one Sister-in-Law Loyce Zenger.

Viewing and visitation are at Sevier Funeral Home on Wednesday, April 3, 2013 from 4-7 p.m.

Graveside services will be following the funeral service Thursday in Lookeba.
