Memorial services were held for Connie Schmidt, 60, of Chickasha at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 3, 2012, in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel with Sister Alice Wendling officiating.

Connie Schmidt was born in Chickasha on March 24, 1952, to Cecil and Ruby J. (Welchel) Smith.  She was called to her home in heaven on Monday, April 30, 2012, at home in Chickasha.

She lived her life in Chickasha surrounded by family and many friends.

Connie enjoyed spending time with her family, especially the children, watching them grow up, and going to local casinos with her sisters.  She was married to Ronald ‘Pee Wee’ Schmidt.

Connie was a great mother to her kids and will be greatly missed by many.

She is preceded in death by:  both parents, two sons; and brother, Bobby Smith.

Survivors (all from Chickasha) include:  two daughters, Carla Reyes & husband Adrion and Ronda Schmidt; three grandchildren, Christopher Schmidt, Donavon Miller and Sophia Reyes; one great-grandchild, Ryder Schmidt; siblings, RC Smith & wife Ann, Linda Briscoe, Gary Smith, Esta Hatchett & husband Joel, and Sheila Smith; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Services and cremation arrangements were under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
