LAVERN NIGHTINGALE

— Funeral service for Lavern Nightingale, 86, of Chickasha, Oklahoma will be held at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, February 3, 2013 at the Plainview Mennonite Church.

Nightingale was born July 6, 1926 in Chickasha, Oklahoma the son of Willie A. and Mandina (Smith)Nightingale. He died January 31, 2013 in Chickasha, Oklahoma. He and Ada June Koehn were married April 30, 1950 in Halstead, Kansas.   

Mr. Nightingale was a dairy farmer. He was a member of the Plainview Mennonite Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and three sisters. Survivors include his two daughters, Cheryl Nightingale of Chickasha, OK, Elaine Nightingale of Chickasha, OK, three sons, Galen Nightingale and wife Linda of DeRidder, LA, Orie Nightingale and wife Myrna of Farwell, TX, Don Nightingale and wife Joanne of DeRidder, LA, brother Floyd Nightingale of South Dakota, sister:  Thelma Johnson of Galva, KS, brother-in-law:  Elmer Koehn of Mound Ridge, KS, six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren.

Interment will be in the Plainview Mennonite Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
