Funeral service for Cole Brownell Turpin, 27, of Ninnekah, will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013, at Ninnekah Baptist Church with Rev. Mike McReynolds, pastor, officiating.

Cole passed away Saturday, Jan. 12th, 2013, in Duncan.

Arrangements are under the direction of Fletcher Funeral Home, Fletcher.

He was born on May 10, 1985, in Oklahoma City to Danny Brownell an Billie Jean (Cole) Turpin. Cole was the Easter Seals Poster Child for 1994 and 1995, he was in the Guinness Book of World Records for making the biggest strawberry cheese cake.  Cole was a huge fan of OU, Thunder, and the Dallas Cowboys.  He was inducted into the Oklahoma Song Writers Hall of Fame as the youngest song writer.  Cole enjoyed playing video games, fishing, and flirting with the ladies.  He attended Ninnekah Baptist Church.  He was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend to many.  He will be missed!

He is survived by his parents, Danny and Billie Turpin of Ninnekah; his brother, Eric Turpin and his wife, Destani, and their son, Draven, all of Rush Springs,; two sisters, Allene Tehauno and her children, Shaylea, Dakota, Keldon, and J.J., of Chickasha, and Shanna Tehauno and her son, Isaiah; his grandmother, Gene Littrell of Marlow and an aunt, Tina Miller and her son, Skyler, of Marlow.  Cole has a large extended family including many aunts, uncles, cousins, a niece, and a bang load of nephews.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Joel Tehauno, grandparents, Dolores and Walter Turpin, Bill Cole, and great grandparents, Johnny and Lorene Turpin, Katherine and J.C. Mitchell, and F.W. and Willie Cole.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Fletcher Funeral Home, Fletcher.
