Funeral services for Howard Angus “Jimmy” Hawthorn will be 2 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 28, 2013 at the Sevier Funeral Home Chapel.
Howard Angus “Jimmy” Hawthorn was born June 18, 1950 in Lawton to Herman Hawthorn and Levida (Johnson) Hawthorn Arnold. He passed away on Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2013 in Chickasha, at the age of 63.
Jimmy graduated from Chickasha High School. He had worked in the oil field as a truck driver. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
Jimmy loved to ride his motorcycle on the Santa’s Workshop runs. He has always loved to help children. This year, he was in a battle for his life, but he started a fundraiser for kids, Quarters for Kids. In only six weeks, $3500 was raised for Santa’s Workshop.
He is preceded in death by his father, Herman Hawthorn and his mother, Levida Johnson Hawthorn Arnold; step-father, Bert Arnold; two sisters, Barbara Hawthorn Fish and Pamla Hawthorn Jaques.
Jimmy is survived by his four daughters: Christy Hawthorn, Janetta Hawthorn, Stephanie Burns and her husband, John and Dawn Tillian; three sisters: Kay Williams and her husband, Randy, Janell Ludwell, and her husband, Frank, Patricia Pool and her husband, Edsel, Jr.; four brothers: Sammy Hawthorn and his wife, Judy, Neal Hawthorn and his wife, Kathern, Rick Hawthorn and his wife, Patty, Kim Hawthorn and his wife, Janet; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews and many great nieces and nephews and a host of friends
Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery, Chickasha, OK under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
