— Elaine L. Petitjean

Elaine L. Petitjean, 82, of Denton, Texas, passed away on December 17, 2013 in Denton.  She was born on January 12, 1931 in Fletcher, OK to Roy and Nita Stegall Groomer.  She married Olin Petitjean on April 2, 1947 in Chickasha, Oklahoma.   He preceded her in death on December 29, 2006.  She was a member of the Beta Sima Phi sorority, Hollybrook Baptist Church, was an avid gardener and loved being a grandmother.  

She is survived by her son Roy Petitjean and his wife Margaret of Holly Lake Ranch: daughter: Sherri Hensley and her husband Floyd of Denton; grandchildren: Michelle Havard, Tim Petitjean, Aaron Hensley, John Duraso, Wade Duraso; great grandchildren: Joel Duraso, Becca Duraso, Josie Duraso, Jacob Duraso, Sarah Mitchell, Amber Havard, Audrey Petitjean, Jason Petitjean, Taryne Duraso, and Garrett Petitjean; sister: Charlotte Burrough and her husband Herman of Ada, Ok.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; great grandson-Erich Petitjean; sister: LaDell Dowling; brother: Dennis Groomer.

Memorial Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at the Hollybrook Baptist Church, 3219 South FM 2869, Hawkins, Texas with Herman Burrough officiating.  In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations be made to the Alzheimers Association at  HYPERLINK "http://www.alzfdn.org/ContributetoAFA/makeadonation" www.alzfdn.org/ContributetoAFA/makeadonation or Alzheimer's Foundation of America, 322 Eighth Ave., 7th fl., New York, NY 10001, or the American Cancer Association at cancer.org/donate or American Cancer Society, P.O.
