Jerry Clarence Rhodes

— Funeral services for Jerry Clarence Rhodes, 66, of Chickasha will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 12, 2013, in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Kevin Simpson officiating.

Jerry Clarence Rhodes was born in Chickasha, Oklahoma, on May 26, 1947, the son of Clarence Rhodes and Lois Evans Rhodes. He died Wednesday, August 7, 2013, in Chickasha.

Jerry grew up in Chickasha, graduating from Chickasha High School in 1965. After graduation he attended Okmulgee Tech for auto body. Later he returned to Chickasha, where he met and married Kathy Whitener, on March 17, 1972.

He served in the Army Reserves for six years.

 Jerry owned and operated his own auto body shop in Chickasha for many years.

He also had been employed through the years at Montgomery Wards and Perdue Housing. Jerry started working for the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority in November of 1981, where he was currently employed as the Transportation Maintenance Superintendent.

He enjoyed boating at the lake, spending time with his family and friends, drag racing, old cars, spending time with his grandson, and taking trips to Laughlin, Nevada and Branson, Missouri.

He was preceded in death by: parents; Clarence and Lois Rhodes, father in law Albert Whitener, two brothers in law Steve Whitener and Butch Williams.

Survivors include: wife; Kathy Rhodes of the home, two sons; Jeffrey Rhodes of Chickasha, and Jerad Rhodes and wife Tiffany of Oklahoma City, grandson; Ethan Rhodes of Oklahoma City, sister; Janice Williams, nephew; Bryan Williams and wife Tina all of Chickasha, niece Mandy Williams-Will and husband Bryon of Oklahoma City, mother in law; Cora Whitener of Chickasha and numerous other family members, many great friends and his special dog Buster.

The family has set a family and friends visitation time for Sunday August 11, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Ferguson Funeral Home.

Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.

    A come and go ‘Celebration of Life’ will be held for Jacqueline Ann Bohannon, 77, of Duncan, Oklahoma on Saturday, May 3rd at the Southern Oaks Church of Christ in Chickasha from 2:00 – 4:00 pm.  Jackie was born June 18, 1936 in Allen, Oklahoma to the parents of Harold and Bea Hammonds.  She passed from this life to be with her Lord on April 10, 2014 after a prolonged illness.

    Clifford Franklin Williams, 98, of Minco was born November 6, 1915 at Minco, Oklahoma to Claude Custer and Viola Pearl (Pettis) Williams. He died Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at his home in Minco, Oklahoma.
        Services will be held on Friday, April 18, 2014, 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Minco. Reverend Bob Waitman and Reverend Bob Hines officiating. Burial, Evergreen Cemetery of Minco, Oklahoma under the direction of Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home in Minco.

    Funeral for Reva Mae Burlison,88, of Chickasha, Oklahoma, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 22, 2014, in the Southern Oaks Church of Christ. Andy Lashley will officiate and Brian Johnson will assist.
    Reva Mae Royal was the 7th of 9 children, born to Walter Scott Royal Sr. and Nellie Speer Royal. She was born in rural Harmon County, near Hollis, Oklahoma on September 23, 1925. She passed away on April 16, 2014, in Chickasha.
