Albert (Fisty) Chambers

— Funeral services for Albert (Fisty) Chambers, of Blanchard, OK will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at the Main Street Church of Christ, Alex, OK.

Albert Chambers was born January 7, 1925 in Bradley, Oklahoma to Evert and Lillie (Skelton) Chambers.  He passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2014 at his home in Blanchard, OK at the age of 89.

Mr. Chambers lived in the Alex area for many years.  He married Clarsey Mason on June 28, 1947 in Chickasha, OK.  They moved to Plainview, Texas in the late 1940’s and moved back to Alex in the 1950’s.  He farmed in the Alex and Bradley areas.  He worked at Heart Manufacturing in Chickasha for several years before retiring.

He enjoyed raising a large garden for over thirty years.  He also enjoyed quail hunting, fishng and picking blackberries.  He enjoyed making homemade jellies and jams.

Mr. Chambers was a member of the Main Street Church of Christ at Alex.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Bobby Dwayne Chambers; a daughter, Martha Louise Manning and his wife of 66 years Clarsey Lee Chambers.  He is also preceded by 2 brothers, Dale “Jack” Chambers and Carrell Gene Chambers and a granddaughter, Maliah Anjenetta Chambers.

Mr. Chambers is survived by a son, Albert Ray Chambers and his wife, Dina, of McAlester, OK; 2 sisters:  Beatrice Hill and Virginia Jones and her husband, James, all of Lindsay, OK; 2 brothers: Gerald Chambers and his wife, Ethel, of Plainview, TX and Ronnie Chamber of Fritch, TX; 10 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren

And numerous nieces and nephews.

Interment will be in the Rush Springs Cemetery, Rush Springs, OK under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home, Chickasha, OK.
