CHICKASHA — Mary Lee Hopkins-Fort



Funeral services for Mary Lee Hopkins-Fort, 79, of Chickasha will be held Tuesday Jan. 28, 2014 at Shepherd St. "Disciples of Christ" Christian Church; Ministers  Justin Pendarvis and Milton R. Bowens, Jr. Co-Pastors.  Pastor Morris W. Blakes will officiate/eulogy the services.Mary Lee Hopkins-Fort was the first child born to Claude and Annie Mae Hopkins.  She was born in Boley, on March 6, 1934.  Mary was raised in Chickasha, were she resided until her passing.  

Mary was an Lincoln School Alumnus.  She attend Lincoln Public Schools, in Chickasha, from kindergarden until high school graduation.  

Mary worked in the medical field as a Home Health Care Provider.  She also worked at Delta Faucet for numerous years, until she retired.

Mary enjoyed spending time with her family, sharing laughs. For recreational purposes, Mary enjoyed her camaraderie of the friendships of her many friends, esp. while playing cards and bingo.  

Mary Lee Hopkins united in holy matrimony to Fletcher Fort on Dec. 31, 1977.  They remained happily married, for 37 years, until her demise on Jan. 23, 2014.

Mary was preceded in death by her mother and father; one son, Ronnie Davis; sisters: Maime J. Brown and Barbara J. Hopkins-Jones; Brother, Clarence Hopkins; great-grandson James Williams Junior.  

Those immediate family members left behind to cherish the memories of Mary Lee includes: He husband of the home, Fletcher Fort; Sharon E. Alexander-Graham of Lawton; Vicki A. White of Lawton; Michelle N. Davis (and Husband) of Chickasha; one son, Thomas J. Davis of Oklahoma City.  

Survivors also includes: sister, Margaret Polk of Phoenix, AZ; eight grandchildren, 11 great-great grandchildren, a hold of nieces, nephews, cousins, others relatives, and many good friends.
