Trevor Parnell Ramsey

— Trevor Parnell Ramsey

Trevor Parnell Ramsey was born November 29, 1992 in Tulsa, Oklahoma and passed away on January 20, 2014 at his home in Coppell, Texas. He was a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend.

Trevor is survived by his parents, Donna and Stephen Ramsey, as well as his brother, Preston Ramsey, all of Coppell. He is the grandson of Virginia and Perry Ramsey of Chickasha, Oklahoma, and Mary and Ed Morgan of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Trevor is also survived by uncles and aunts Denise and David Alexander of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; Deana and Jack Ramsey of Lone Tree, Colorado; and Gianna and Dorsey Ramsey of Moore, Oklahoma. He also leaves behind many cherished cousins and friends.

Before his first birthday, Trevor moved with his family to the Dallas area from Tulsa. He began school in Grand Prairie before moving to Coppell to begin first grade. He attended Austin Elementary, Coppell Middle School East, and he was in the first graduating class of New Tech High @ Coppell. Trevor excelled academically and was a bright young man. In 2011 Trevor attended the University of Arkansas where he was a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity.

Trevor had the kindest of hearts as shown by his deep love for all animals, especially his dog Belle and his pet bearded dragon, Sid. He also loved to visit his grandparent's farm, where loved to ride four wheelers, drive the pickup in the pasture, feed the fish, relax and have great conversations with his Nana. Trevor liked all animals, particularly those that needed extra care and love. That same sentiment carried over to the people that Trevor loved, as he had a special place for those in need or hurting.

Trevor also loved to read – he was an avid reader, and especially liked epic fantasy fiction. As a young boy, Trevor also loved to do lots of walking and always had a walking stick to carry with him. When asked what he would do when he walked, he said simply, “I think.”

Trevor was a believer in Jesus Christ, who he accepted as Savior in October 2002 along with his brother Preston during the final Billy Graham Crusade held at the old Texas Stadium. Two weeks later, he was baptized at First Baptist Church in Coppell. With his family, Trevor joined the Valley Ranch Baptist Church a few years after, where he attended and worshipped until his passing.

Trevor Parnell Ramsey was a caring, intelligent, deep thinking young man with a big heart. He will be missed greatly by those who knew him and loved him. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Operation Kindness, 3201 Earhart Drive, Carrollton, Texas 75006, or to Family Legacy Missions International, Attn: Jacob Logan Life Vision Home, 5005 W. Royal Lane, Suite 252, Irving, Texas 75063.

A memorial service for Trevor will take place Friday, 2:00 P.M. at Valley Ranch Baptist Church, 1501 S. Belt Line, Coppell, Texas 75019, followed by interment at Rolling Oaks Memorial Center.
