Mary Cox

— Funeral Services for Mary Cox, of Ninnekah, will be 2 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2013 at the Sevier Funeral Home Chapel.

Mary Cox was born June 21, 1929 in Merkel, to Bill and Alta Mae (James) Bates. She passed away on Monday, Dec. 2, 2013 at her home, at the age of 84.

She married Ben J. Cox on Dec. 1, 1950 and he preceded her in death on Oct. 7, 2005. She lived in the Ninnekah area since 1955 and farmed with her husband in the area. Mrs. Cox was a member of Ninnekah Baptist Church.

Mrs. Cox is survived by her two children, Jay Cox and his wife, Susan and Connie Cox and her husband, Joe Jenner

She is also survived by her brother, Bill Bates and his wife, Shirley and her sister, Edith Tate; three grandchildren: Nicholas Dohne and his wife, Hope, Emily Cox and Parker Cox; two great-grandchildren: Madelyn Dohne and Katelyn Dohne and a sister-in-law, Wilma Cox.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Ninnekah Public Schools.

Interment will be in the Ninnekah Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
