— Malcolm C. Mandeville

Malcolm C. Mandeville passed away on April 24, 2013 at the age of 77. Malcolm (Mack) was born in Chickasha on Aug. 17, 1936, the son of Eugenia Allene White. Born Malcolm Mandeville White, he changed his last name in 1960 to honor his grandmother, Allene Hayes Mandeville, a longtime resident of Chickasha.

Mack grew up in Chickasha and graduated high school from the Oklahoma Military Academy.

He served our country for three years in the United States Navy. He continued his education at Oklahoma State University. He retired as an executive with the Appeton Paper Company. Mack was a "renaissance" man and chose to live most of his retirement in the serenity of the mountains of New Mexico.  His last few years of life were in Flagstaff, Ariz. , close to his daughter.

Mack is survived by his daughter, Patricia (Tish) and one son, Malcolm; an older sister, Allene Terrell; a younger brother, LTC Craig Mandeville, retired; three cousins, like brothers, Michael, Jim and Craig McCaughtry and two granddaughters.

Mack was proud of his family, his country and the beauty of nature, a gift from God that Mack treasured. Mack's ornery sense of humor and big-hearted generosity will be missed.

A memorial service will be planned this summer by family.
