Funeral Mass for Frances Ann Doak, of Chickasha, OK will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 10, 2014 at the Holy Name Catholic Church, Chickasha. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Chickasha Mobile Meals or to the Redlands Girl Scout Council.

Frances Ann Doak was born on October 2, 1928 in El Reno, Oklahoma to John Henry and Mary (Cuthbertson) Doak. She passed away on Tuesday, May 6, 2014 at her home in Chickasha at the age of 85.

A Chickasha resident since the age of three, she attended St. Joseph’s Academy, Chickasha Public Schools and the Oklahoma College for Women.

Frances Ann worked for First National Bank of Chickasha for over 50 years, starting as a teller and retiring as Executive Vice President and member of the Board of Directors. She held banking positions that were once unheard of for a female and helped pave the way for Oklahoma women in banking.She was an active member of Holy Name Catholic Church and many civic organizations including Redlands Girl Scout Council, Heart Association and Chamber of Commerce. She was inducted in to the Chickasha Public Schools Hall of Fame. In retirement, she worked tirelessly for Chickasha Mobile Meals, in charge of volunteers and delivered meals 3-4 times a week.

She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, John C. Doak and sister, Mary Agnes Snodgrass. She leaves behind 10 nieces and nephews who thought of her as their second mother, plus 21 grand-nieces and nephews and 24 great-grand nieces and nephews.

Frances Ann touched the lives of many. She had many friends, including her much loved Dinner Club. You were truly blessed to be able to call her your friend.

Interment will be in the Catholic Section of Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home, Chickasha.

    Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 16, 2014, at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 124 S. 6th Street, Chickasha, with burial to follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Chickasha. Viewing will be July 14 and 15, 2014, at McRay Funeral Home from 8 am to 8 pm. Family will receive friends at Liz’s home on Tuesday, July 15, 2014, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
