Donna Gayle Otey

— Graveside service for Donna Gayle Otey, 66, of Alex, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 28, 2013 at the Alex Cemetery.

Donna Gayle Otey was born Dec. 21, 1946 in Chickasha,  the daughter of Dial Edwin and Frances Ellen (Peavey) Baker.  She died March 26, 2013 at her home in Alex.

Donna lived in Alex her entire life.  She graduated from Alex High School in 1964 and  attended East Central University and Oklahoma College for Women.

She and Larry Joe Otey were married March 1, 1968 in Alex.  They farmed in the Alex area from 1968-1985. Donna worked at Chickasha Bank from 1985-1997.   She worked as a substitute teacher from 2004-2012.  She worked at Alex High School, Lindsay High School and later Ninnekah High School. Donna was a long time Alex Longhorn football fan.

She was a member of the Alex United Methodist Church and was a member of the United Methodist Women’s Group. Donna was known as Nan to many people.

Donna was preceded in death by her husband:  Larry Joe Otey on Jan. 18, 2009; father, Dial Edwin Baker; and mother, Frances Ellen Baker.

Survivors include two sons: Jay Otey and wife Amber of Alex and Todd Otey and wife Holly of Alex; grandsons:  Kelby and wife Abby, Traycer and wife Krystin, Cody and wife Courtney, Reese, Jacob, Brycen and Sam; great grandsons:  Maddox and Cope; a special sister-in-law:  Joyce Wyatt of Hydro; many nieces and nephews; special friends:  Shirley Wenzel, Phyllis Goyne, and Renee Johnson.

Interment will be in the Alex Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.

    A come and go ‘Celebration of Life’ will be held for Jacqueline Ann Bohannon, 77, of Duncan, Oklahoma on Saturday, May 3rd at the Southern Oaks Church of Christ in Chickasha from 2:00 – 4:00 pm.  Jackie was born June 18, 1936 in Allen, Oklahoma to the parents of Harold and Bea Hammonds.  She passed from this life to be with her Lord on April 10, 2014 after a prolonged illness.

    Clifford Franklin Williams, 98, of Minco was born November 6, 1915 at Minco, Oklahoma to Claude Custer and Viola Pearl (Pettis) Williams. He died Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at his home in Minco, Oklahoma.
        Services will be held on Friday, April 18, 2014, 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Minco. Reverend Bob Waitman and Reverend Bob Hines officiating. Burial, Evergreen Cemetery of Minco, Oklahoma under the direction of Huber-Reynolds Funeral Home in Minco.

    Funeral for Reva Mae Burlison,88, of Chickasha, Oklahoma, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 22, 2014, in the Southern Oaks Church of Christ. Andy Lashley will officiate and Brian Johnson will assist.
    Reva Mae Royal was the 7th of 9 children, born to Walter Scott Royal Sr. and Nellie Speer Royal. She was born in rural Harmon County, near Hollis, Oklahoma on September 23, 1925. She passed away on April 16, 2014, in Chickasha.
