— Private memorial service for Judy Mae Buchanan, 69, of Chickasha will be held at a later date by the family.

Judy Mae Buchanan was born in Elk City, Oklahoma, on May 20, 1943, the daughter of Jay and Nola Cooper Winfield. She died on Tuesday, April 2, 2013, in Chickasha.

Judy grew up in Carter, Oklahoma and graduated from Sayre High School. She married Phillip Johnson in 1961 and from this union came two children.Judy came to Chickasha in 1984 to pursue her dream. She received her LPN license from the Canadian Valley Vo-Tech. After graduating she worked for Grace Living Center, and later worked for hospice & home health. She retired in 1994 due to her health.

After retirement she found many hobbies. She loved to read, refurbish old furniture, oil paint, and collect country albums. She was preceded in death by: both parents and one brother; James Winfield.Survivors include: daughter; Leigh-Jay Johnson   and fiancé Donnie Palmer of Chickasha, Oklahoma, brother; Paul James Johnson of Williamson, Georgia, two sisters; Beverly Johnson of Chickasha, Oklahoma and Wilma White of Amarillo, Texas, two grandchildren; Amanda Jo Johnson and Laura Johnson, three great-grandchildren; Baleigh Jo Beverly, Alivia Kane Johnson & Chevy Rider Clay, two nieces; Stacy Lynn Kelley and Shanda Jean Kelley, one great neice; Jade Jacklynn Kelley and one great

nephew; Todd Anthony Filer Jr. all of Chickasha, Oklahoma and numerous other family

and friends.

Arrangements are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
