Bertha Lea Hurley

— Funeral services for Bertha Lee Hurley, 83, of Chickasha, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, August 5, 2013, in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel with Wally Boyd officiating.

Bertha Lee Hurley was born in Cement, Oklahoma, on January 25, 1930, the daughter of Clim Orum and Mamie Rollins Orum. She died Thursday, August 1, 2013 in her home.

Bertha grew up and attended school in Cement, Oklahoma.

On June 2, 1945, Bertha married the love of her life, Alfred Hurley. The couple moved to California, where they lived for twenty seven years, returning to the Chickasha area in 1972.

Bertha was employed with AT&T for many years, retiring in 1992.

She had many hobbies, cooking, gardening, crocheting, knitting and absolutely loved spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by: both parents, brother; Hubert Orum, sister; Dorothy Brown and two sons; David and Ronald Hurley

Survivors include: husband Alfred Hurley of the home, two sons; Lloyd Hurley and Donald Hurley and wife Diana, daughter in law; Sherry Hurley all of Chickasha, Oklahoma, two grandchildren; Michael Hurley and Catherine Garcia and three great grandchildren.

Interment will be in the Carnegie Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
