— Linda Sevier

Feb. 18, 1945 - Oct. 24, 2012

Funeral service for Linda Sevier, 67, of Chickasha,  will be held 1:30 p.m., Monday, Oct. 29, 2012 at the First Baptist Church, Chickasha.

Linda was born Feb. 18, 1945 in Chickasha,  to Gaylord and Norma (Pruner) Knowles.  She lived her entire life within the city limits of Chickasha.

She graduated from Chickasha High School with honors in 1963.  She attended and graduated from USAO with a double major in speech therapy and deaf education in 1966.

Linda and Larry were married in 1966 at the First Baptist Church where she attended since she was a newborn.

Linda taught for a while but was able to be a stay at home mom for most of her life.  She was very involved with her children, Todd and April, and their many activities.  She was also quite involved with her nephews, Shane and Luke Harris, Jason and Derick Knowles and her nieces, Candice and Danielle Knowles and continued to pray for them throughout her life.

Linda was the right woman behind her man, as Larry would take on different responsibilities in the community. She really enjoyed family outings, class reunions and dancing with the Go-Lee Kickers.   Linda was quite a reader and letter writer.   Linda’s grandsons, Brayden, Austin and Jeremy were her greatest joy. She loved to be with them and was the happiest when they were together.

Her parents preceded her in death, but their most difficult time was when their son, Todd Sevier, died Dec. 19, 2010.  She had tremendous faith and served our Lord in everything she did.  She will be greatly missed, but we believe in an eternal heaven where the greatest reunion of all will  take place.

Linda was a member of the First Baptist Church.  She was also a member of the Delaware Tribe and USAO Alumni  Association.

Linda is survived by her husband:  Larry Sevier of the home; a daughter and son-in-law: April and Jeff Kile of Chickasha; grandsons:  Brayden, Austin and Jeremy Kile of Chickasha; three sisters: Pam Harris and husband, Mike, of Chickasha; Claudia Winham of Chickasha; Becky Knowles of Chickasha; a brother:  Dan Knowles of Chickasha and numerous nieces and nephews, relatives and friends

Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Crossroads Community Church, P.O. Box 451, Chickasha, OK 73018 or The American Cancer Society.
