— Faye Lorene Todd

Funeral service for Faye Lorene Todd, 86, of Chickasha, Oklahoma will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 10, 2013 in the Chapel of Sevier Funeral Home.

Faye Lorene Todd died Sunday, April 7, 2013. The daughter of C.A. and Beulah Miles, Faye was born October 8, 1926, in McAlester, Oklahoma and grew up in Lindsay.

On June 18, 1946, Faye married the love of her life, Melvin Todd, and they resided in Chickasha.

Faye was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers Clarence, Chester and Fred Miles; three sisters Vesta Morgan, Grace Murray and Opal Brooks and husband Melvin Todd.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda Steelman and husband Brock of Amber; son, Steve Todd of McLoud; two grandsons, Tod Stephens and wife Mina of Abu Dhabi, UAE; Brad Stephens and wife Deana of Burneyville, OK; two granddaughters, Amy Miller and husband Chad of Midwest City; Jana Steelman and husband Steve Thompson of Yukon; step-grandchildren Crystal, Dalana, Cynthia, Joe and Stephen Atwood , 13 great grandchildren; and sister, Ruby Carney of Chickasha.

Known affectionately to their grandchildren as “Nanny and Papa,” Faye and Melvin shared their love for country music. In her younger years, she had traveled to see many of her favorite musicians in concert including Elvis, Conway Twitty, and Hank Thompson. We know that Papa was waiting on her with his guitar in hand and what a beautiful serenade she received In heaven.

Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
