Funeral services for Alice Faye Perkins-McClendon will be held Saturday, Jan. 11, 2014 at 1 p.m. at Church of the Living God (P.G.of T.), 827 S. 1st, Chickasha. Overseer D. Allen will officiate the services. Interment will be held at Fairlawn Cemetery.Viewing and visitation will be held at the Church of the Living God (P. G. of T.) from 12-6 p.m. Friday.

Alice Faye Jones Perkins-McClendon was first born to Julius Jones and Alice Ruby Jones-Bryant on Oct. 27, 1943 in Chickasha. She passed away on Jan. 5, 2014.

Alice Faye, affectionately known as Faye, attended and graduated from Chickasha Public Schools and was a Lincoln alumnus.

Faye was very civic-minded and participated in many social groups, especially those pertaining to the church.

Faye united with the Church of the Living God (P.G. of T.) at an early age, under Bishop J.L. Henderson. While at the church, Faye served as Usher Board President, Youth Director, Program Chairman, and President of the Eastside Community Usher Board. She was a former member of the Community Gospel Singers and Juneteenth Committee. She loved working and serving her community.

On. Nov. 13, 1968, Alice Faye Jones united in holy matrimony to Robert Perkins. To this union, two children were born: Harold "Pooh" and Chandra "Nell".

On Oct. 25, 2001, Alice Faye Perkins united in holy matrimony to  Joseph McClendon, Jr.

Faye was preceded in death by both of her parents: Fred W. Bryant, Sr. and Alice Ruby Bryant; her father, Julius Jones; brothers: Julius Jones Jr. and Ronald Jones.

Those left behind to cherish the memories of Faye include: husband, Joseph McClendon of the home; two children: Harold "Pooh" and Dawn "Missy" Perkins and Chandra "Nell" Perkins of Tampa, Fla.; sister: Julia Ann Terry of Chickasha; brothers: Fred Bryant, Jr. of Chickasha; Martin Bryant of Oklahoma City and Gary and Barbara Jones of Paris, Texas; grandchildren: Chelsey Perkins and Cameron Perkins; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Faye had a special love for the youth department at the Church of the Living God (P.G. of T.). She was a mother figure to any.
