BRYAN KEITH COOKSEY



Funeral Services for Bryan Keith Cooksey, 19, 2006 Clinton High School graduate, will be held 10 a.m., Thursday, October 4, 2007 in the First Baptist Church, officiated by Shane Hall and Pat Peters, burial will conclude in the Clinton Cemetery under the direction of the Kiesau-Lee Funeral Home.

Bryan Keith Cooksey was born July 8, 1988 to Gary L. and Susan Fran (Tant) Cooksey in Altus, Oklahoma and passed away early Sunday, September 30, 2007 in the O.U. Medical Center Presbyterian Tower as the result of an automobile accident.

Bryan was raised the first 10 years of his life in Mangum where he started school, he moved to Clinton when he was in the fourth grade and has attended Clinton Schools until his graduation in 2006. He was active in wrestling, Jr. R.O.T.C.; F.F.A and he was proud of the fact that he was in honors math classes. He had continued his education Oklahoma Southwestern State University in Weatherford, where he was presently in his second year. He had recently joined the U.S. Navy and was waiting to go to basic training. Bryan was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Henry and Zudie Cooksey.

Bryan loved to watch Football on T.V. particularly Oklahoma University and he enjoyed target practice.

He is survived by his parents, Gary and Susan Cooksey, of the home, a son, Tyson Blayne Cooksey, Clinton; four sisters, Tammie Cooksey, Dallas, TX; Susan Cooksey, Nashville, TN; Candy Leaper, Wichita Falls, TX and Debbie Gallant, Phoenix, AZ and two brothers, Bret Cooksey, and wife, Anita; Minco and Todd Cooksey and wife, Tiffany, Stillwater, OK.

He is also survived by his maternal grandmother, Louise Tant, Canton, N.C. and several nieces and nephews.
