Funeral service for Lawrence Alpha Nelson, 93, of Oklahoma City, will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, September 20, 2007 at the Full Gospel Church of Chickasha.

Lawrence Alpha Nelson was born October 10, 1913 in Mutual, Oklahoma the son of Alpha and Catherine (Mills) Nelson and died Monday, September 17, 2007 in Chickasha.

Mr. Nelson lived in Oklahoma all of his life. He was a farmer and enjoyed playing football, basketball, golf and was a musician.

He was preceded in death by:

First wife: Pauline Nelson; Second wife: Dorothy Nelson; one daughter: Virginia Lee Nelson Brown;

Survivors include:

two sons and daughters-in-law: Doug and Peggy Nelson of Taloga, Oklahoma; Joe Bob and Nicona Nelson of Chickasha; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and one the way. Several nieces, nephews and other relatives

Interment will be at 4:30 p.m., Thursday at the Dunlap Cemetery, Mutual, Oklahoma under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
