DOROTHY STOWE

— Funeral service for Dorothy Stowe, 98, of Chickasha, Oklahoma, will be held at 1:30-p.m., Friday, February 15, 2008 in the Southern Oaks Church of Christ, Chickasha, Oklahoma.
Dorothy Stowe was born November 14, 1909, south of Verden, Oklahoma, the daughter of Lawrence and Mamie (Burkhalter) Hamrick and died February 11, 2008 in Chickasha.
Dorothy moved from Verden to Tuttle and graduated from Tuttle High School. After graduation, she attended Business College in Oklahoma City. She worked at the Bank of Tuttle for four years. She and Lester Stowe were married November 12, 1933 in Tuttle. They moved to Chickasha, and Dorothy worked for Dr. Flagler for four years. She traveled with Lester in the Service and then moved back to Chickasha. Dorothy worked in the County Clerk’s office for 17 years and then with the Washita Valley Abstract Office until her retirement.
She was a member of the Church of Christ
Dorothy was preceded in death by:
Husband: Lester Stowe; Parents: Lawrence and Mamie Hamrick; one brother: Fred Hamrick; one sister: Fern Stewart; one sister-in-law: Ruth Hamrick.
Survivors include:
four Cousins; Several Nieces and Nephews.
Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery, Tuttle, under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home.
