Ruthie Opal Wilson, age 84, died Saturday, February 9, 2008 at a Chickasha health care facility after a short period of failing health. She was born July 13, 1923 in Oklahoma City to Lonnie and Georgia (Boyd) Grigsby and grew up in Oklahoma City.

She moved to Mustang in 1950 and was active in Mustang Civic affairs. She was a founding member of the Mustang Sparketts (Ladies Auxiliary of Mustang Fire Department) and a member of First Baptist Church in Mustang. She moved to Ft. Cobb, OK in the mid 1990’s and to the Dibble/Chickasha area in 2002.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, Earl and Bill and longtime companion Avery, as well as one daughter Patsy, one sister Lola and two brothers, O’dell and Oliver.

She is survived by one son Ricky Wilson and wife Alish of Tulsa, two daughters Linda Tuley and husband James of Chickasha and Reada Sparks and husband Franklin of Dibble. Also 13 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren and three sisters Ruby Stewart, Dainty Scales both of OKC and Lavada Fish of Dibble.

Services will be held at 10am on Tuesday, February 12, 2008 in the Chapel of The Good Shepherd at McNeil’s Mustang Funeral Service, Mustang, OK with interment to follow in Mustang Cemetery, Mustang, Oklahoma.
