LLOYD JACKSON



Funeral service for Lloyd Jackson, age 85, of Chickasha, Oklahoma, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, February 1, 2008, at the Southern Oaks Church of Christ. Jim Sheerer will officiate.

Lloyd Jackson was born the son of Luther Floyd Jackson and Minnie Lee Harrison Jackson on January 16, 1923, in Macomb, Oklahoma. He died on January 28, 2008, in Chickasha.

He married Allene Ward on June 30, 1945 in Shawnee, Oklahoma. After being married for sixty two years, Lloyd was the love of Allene’s life.

Lloyd served three years with the United States Army during World War II in Europe and occupational troops in the Phillipines. After returning home from the army, he was employed by W. T. Grant Co. (retailing) for thirty years. Most of his time was spent in the southeastern part of the United States. In 1981, he retired and moved to Chickasha. Lloyd was a member of the Southern Oaks Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Emma Lee Duncan and Ruby May Jackson and an infant son, Larry Dale Jackson.

Survivors include:

Wife: Allene Ward Jackson of Chickasha. Many other loving family and a host of friends

Interment will be at 2:00 pm in the Tecumseh Cemetery in Tecumseh, Oklahoma. Services will be under the direction of the McRay Funeral Home.
