Funeral services for Ronald Glen South, 37, formerly of Chickasha, will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 22, 2008, in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Kim Hayes officiating.

Ronald Glen South was born September 28, 1970, in Modesto, California the son of Thomas and Betty South. He died Monday, Jan. 14, 2008, in Apple Valley, California.

Ron attended Chickasha High School. He later attended nursing school at Oklahoma City Community College where he graduated with an Associate Degree in Nursing. He has since worked as a Cardiothoracic/Intensive Care Nurse for the past 7 years.

Ron married Kendra Gitthens on March 2, 1990. This union blessed them with three beautiful children: Thomas, Tyler and Sydni.

The family had made their home in Chickasha until two years ago when they moved to California for Ron to work a traveling nurse assignment.

Ron was a supportive friend and brother, a fantastic nurse and a loving and devoted husband and father. He loved spending time with his family and listening to country music. He also enjoyed collecting Hot Wheels and hats.

Ron was preceded in death by both parents and one brother, Van.

He is survived by his wife, Kendra and their three children, of the home; one brother Jason South and mother and father-in-law: Debbie and Guy Huggins, all of Chickasha; and numerous other family members and friends.

Ron was loved by all that knew him and will be sorely missed.

Interment will be in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
