Amber-Pocasset got their Chattanooga Tournament play off in style Thursday night, drubbing the hosts 11-4.

Four runs in the top of the first foreshadowed the Panthers' big win, which comes off the back of a narrow victory against Sterling to give Am-Po a winning star to the season.

Lead-off batter Ethan James and starting pitcher Dylan Hargus carried a big load for the Panthers' offense, getting two hits each. Levi Scott, who also spends a lot of time on the Am-Po mound, lead the team with 2 RBI.

Hargus had seven strikeouts in five innings' worth of pitching.

By the end of the third inning, it was 7-3 Am-Po, and they still had more to give. Four more runs in the top of the fourth capped a big night of offense.

The Panthers will continue in the Chattanooga Tournament through Saturday before a big Tuesday match-up when they travel to Verden for a 4:30 p.m. game.
