Track girls set solid base times

Girls coach Nancy Waters called Chickasha's meet at Bethany on Saturday a good first outing.

Tania Davis, Shantel Hayden, Tawn Neidy and Jacycee Brown placed fourth in the 1600 meter relay with a total time of 4:40.89. It was the Chickasha girls' best relay finish on the afternoon. Davis, Neidy, Kori Smith and Ivy McPherson made up the 400 relay team that finished sixth with a time of 52.97. Smith, Brown, Davis and Neidy finished seventh in the 800 relay, coming in at 1:57.29.

In the individual events, Neidy was one of the top finishers by coming in at fourth in the pole vault at 7' 6". Brown competed in the long jump, finishing seventh with a jump of 14' 3'.
