Seventh heaven in Chicks' season finale

(Continued)

CHICKASHA —

Within 10 minutes of the second half, Young had his hat trick. The Owls line just couldn’t keep up with him, or move him off the ball. The services from the likes of Mosley and Xavier Willetts kept coming, and it spelled trouble for Elgin.

Willetts long free kick from inside the Chickasha half caught the Owls off guard, but not Young. Webb got a touch on it when the two met in the box, but Young scored on the follow through for the 3-0 lead. Minutes later, another through ball found Young for his third.

He played provider later. After rumbling through the Elgin defense, Young’s shot was blocked but he caught up to it. From the end line, he found a wide open Mosley who powered in Chickasha’s fifth.

By now, Chickasha were scoring for fun, and Young did two more times. It’s Chickasha’s most overwhelming win of the season and helps them end on a high note in head coach Scott Parkinson’s final season in charge.
