NORMAN — If there's on statistic that should have Oklahoma fans trembling it's sacks.
The Sooners already have allowed six through two games against UTEP and Florida A&M.
Offensive coordinator Josh Heupel said blocking isn't the reason the sacks have been an issue in the first two games. Quarterbacks have been holding the ball too long.
"Four of those (sacks) are on the quarterbacks right now," Heupel said on Monday. We need to do a better job at that position of getting rid of the ball and understanding our protections."
The Sooners only allowed 11 sacks during all of last season.
