Registration for fall baseball, softball underway

CHICKASHA —

Tuesday marked the start of registration for fall baseball and softball leagues at the Chickasha Sports Complex.

Games will take place in the form of double headers on Monday and Tuesday nights when the season starts on Aug. 25. Divisions include boys and girls tee ball for under-6 players who get a free entry fee all the way up to under-12 girls fast pitch and a high school division for boys. Player entry fee is $35 each and team entry fee is $250. 

The team entry includes a guarantee of 14 games and two tournament entry fees. There is a minimum of four teams needed to make up a division and a maximum of 12 teams allowed per division. 

Teams must play in the age division that they will play in when they take part in the 2015 spring season. 

Individual registration is due by Aug. 4, while teams can register until Aug. 11. The season ends Oct. 7 and there will be both preseason and post-season tournaments. For more info, call Chickasha Parks and Recreation at (405) 222.6028.
