Burrows takes fifth at 5A state

LAWTON —

Chickasha junior Cody Burrows finished tied for fifth at the Class 5A State Tournament in Lawton, shooting an even par 72 in the final round on Tuesday.

Tahlequah's Jake Johnson, who shot a 215 for the tournament, came away with the individual prize, while he also led the Tahlequah boys to the team championship. Burrows had shot a 76 and 72 on day one on Monday, finishing with an overall score of 220.
