Cobble chosen for state coaches Hall of Fame

— Chickasha High School head football coach Tom Cobble is one of 10 coaches that will be inducted into the Oklahoma Coaches Association Hall of Fame this year.

Cobble has had a long coaching career, more than 30 years, in Oklahoma high school football. He has previously coached at El Reno, Enid, Weatherford and Minco.

He has one state championship, three runner-up finishes, and six state semifinals appearances. Cobble has won more than 230 games in his career.

The Hall of Fame induction ceremony is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. July 28 at the Southern Hills Marriott hotel in Tulsa.

Also getting inducted into the class of 2013 are former Blanchard coaches Charley North and T.J. "Sonny" Vermillion.
