Golf scramble to provide Food for Kids


Golfers will hit the links in the name of charity this weekend in the Lions Golf Scramble at River Bend Golf Course.

The tournament, which takes place on Saturday, is in its 13th year on the Chickasha Lions Club calendar. Teams of four must register ahead of the tournament at 8 a.m., with a shotgun start shortly after.

There will be two awards flights, with each including a $300 prize for first place and a $150 prize for second. The registration fee per team is $65. Proceeds from the tournament will go to help fund the Chickasha Food For Kids program, as well as area residents who are in need of eyeglasses. 

There are also opportunities for local businesses to sponsor a hole for $100. The price includes advertising boards placed throughout the course.
